Overall Vision
The overall vision of TICO complex is to become the main entry and support point encompassing all local and international activities that channel University outputs (Science, Technology & Research) to the industry and promote innovation inside and outside the university for the sake of knowledge-based and innovation-supported economy.

The three constituting offices (GICO, TTO and TISC) will be synchronized in an ever running integrated cycle to produce, upgrade, protect, commercialize, and transfer Science, Technology and Innovation products from University to Industry and labor market.

ZU will be an excellent exporter and supporter of high technology to the industry within a global international cooperative context regrouping diverse disciplines conforming to the goals of ASRT initiatives and achieving Zagazig University to become among the regional leading institutions recognized and highly-ranked universities.


Mission

Initiate, evaluate, develop and maintain relationships with international partner institutions within Middle East, European Union, USA and worldwide. 

Collect information about the available grants, international programs and projects to cope with the national and international development 

Create a database in order to support processes requiring this information especially the announcement of the available grants and the latest international cooperation. 

Providing databases on the requirements to properly transfer the modern technology in different objected areas.

Acquainting the university and industry communities with the main objectives, activities and strategies of TICO.

Support the international initiatives of ZU's departments and organizational units.

Assist in the process of technology transfer from the university into other institutions or enterprises on international levels for diverse disciplines (and vice versa).

Share a part in the process of locally and globally marketing the knowhow.

Promote, encourage, assist and supervise the mobility of students, researchers and staff (incoming and outgoing) particularly for technological and research development.

Protect and assure and intellectual rights and promote innovation in the university.

Establish fair and protected treaties between the university and industry.

Arrange partnerships, technological and scientific research with foreign universities.

TISC Objectives

Promoting knowledge and awareness on patent processing and legally registering patents in a relatively short time.

Facilitating the procedures to apply for and obtain patents.

Regulating and creating intellectual property agreement to assure and guarantee faire and fruitful scientific cooperation between universities either national or international.

Regulating and creating intellectual property agreements to assure and guarantee faire and fruitful scientific cooperation between university and industry within a committed public engagement policy.

Contribute to the drafting of agreements (national or international) to protect the intellectual property of the staff and the University.

Encouraging scientific research in all faculties of the University and facilitating the progress of technical and boost economic development.

Encouraging ZU faculties on investing the innovative ideas while preserving the rights of ownership.

Revitalization of the industrial and commercial market to provide new competitive products.
