Determining the research issues of strength and excellence for ZU:

- Screening, studying and evaluating the outcomes of the ZU researches and projects.

- Exploring areas of current researches and potentials of the university through interviews and discussions with researchers.

- Identifying the recent topics convertible to technology and transferable to industry.

Exploring and studying the industry:

- Collecting data on the industry problems and needs (e.g., questionnaires, meetings).

- Classifying the companies and factories (on the basis of industry type, products, relevant technologies, specialization, size, ...... etc).

- Visiting companies and factories to identify the problems that require solutions, the need for new technologies, and the possibility of marketing available technologies.

Mapping the profile of ZU that has the potential for technology transfer to the industry.

Defining the international technologies potentially useful (relevant) and transferrable to the Egyptian industry in collaboration with GICO.
